According to several news media sites, Z-Ro told close friends that his ex-girlfriend and fellow rapper “Just Brittany” is falsely accusing him of assault just to get big publicity for her new reality television show. Brittany came forward to the police just days before the premiere of her new reality TV show “Signed”, making the timing suspect to many following this story. For this alleged assault, Z-Ro was charged and arrested on Wednesday, July 26 — three months after the incident allegedly took place.
In his defense, Z-Ro points out that he never assaulted Brittany and that the proof can be found on Brittany’s own social media accounts. First, there is the photo Brittany posted to her Twitter on Tuesday, April 30 at 1:51 A.M. The alleged assault took place on Monday, April 29.
Z-Ro also points out how the timing for the assault allegations is suspicious, given that Brittany’s new TV show premiers on a Wednesday and she filed assault charges on Monday of the same week. Also suspect to many fans and people close to Z-Ro is another post in which Brittany appears to be boasting about the fact that she was “trending” on social media sites after she reported the incident and the news broke out.
